Get to know us
We are a family breeder who raises African Greys and other parrots in our home. We hand-raise each chick and give daily care. Children and adults share feeding, handling, and play. Our aim is simple: place birds where they will thrive long term.
Every chick lives in the house from hatch. They hear normal family sounds and learn to trust people. We record weights and milestones through weaning. We move birds to larger aviaries only when they are ready to fly and exercise safely.
Health is central to our program. We work with an avian vet for routine exams and testing. We run parasite checks and targeted screens when advised. We record treatments, vaccinations, and any follow up care in a file that we share with adopters.
We choose breeding pairs for temperament and health. Parents live with us and are part of our daily routine. We manage clutch size and timing to reduce stress. We hand feed chicks on a schedule and wean them at proper weights. We stop any pairing that shows poor outcomes.
Training begins early and stays consistent. Birds learn step-up, basic handling, and carrier comfort before they leave us. We do short daily sessions for speech practice and mental enrichment. Toys, foraging, and safe out of cage time are part of every bird’s routine.
When you adopt, you get a clear record. You receive hatch details, parent notes, training level, and full vet files. Microchip details are provided at handover or before shipping. Each placement includes starter food, a familiar toy, and a written 30-day care plan.
You also have duties. You apply honestly and describe your home and experience. You prepare a secure cage, safe perches, and a quiet spot for settling in. You commit to daily interaction, routine vet care, and honest communication if issues arise.
Our adoption steps are direct. Request a video meet-and-greet to meet the bird live. We review applications and confirm the best match before handover or shipping. We update records and support the transition with guidance and follow up.
We stand by our birds after placement. You get 30 days of phone or video support and guidance on feeding, training, and settling in. If a placement fails within a short period, we work with you to find the best solution, including taking the bird back if needed.
We keep everything transparent. You can request parent photos, hatch certificates, and full medical reports before you commit. We prefer open, honest communication so each bird moves to a home that fits its needs.
